It is February!
I love February.
January is the let down after the holidays.
Then February comes.
The sun is no longer setting before you get home from work.
The sky tends to be less gloomy.
There are red and pink glitter hearts in the store...
How can you not smile?
I suppose some of my love for February is tainted by the fact it is the month in which I was born, but I also love that it hosts the birthdays of so many family members.
There is always something to celebrate in February.
Including the birthday of this little blog.
Happy three years Waltzing in Beauty!

Sending...
thank yous.
We have received so many sweet gifts for Baby.
I am trying to keep up and get the thank you cards out in a timely manner.
Eating...
from a simple rotation of recipes.
I am trying to keep the menu to tried and true recipes that I can prepare ahead and possibly freeze to add to our meal stockpile for when Baby arrives.
The meal plan consists of:
Crock pot Chicken Pot Pie
One Pot Chicken Pasta
Grilled Chicken & Veggies
Chili
Hamburgers
Stuffed Peppers
Enchilada Casserole
I have some recipe posts to write!
Dreaming...
of our finished nursery.
The walls are painted and some furniture has moved into the room.
The finishing touches, however, probably won't happen until after Baby's birth.
We went with a neutral grey-blue.
It looks grey in the picture, but in person it is a very light grey-blue.
I am really happy with the current state and cannot wait to find out if we will be adding some feminine or masculine touches to the room.
Smelling...
paint.
The search for the guest room's makeover color is marking the walls.

I actually love January. It is such a fun time to make resolutions for the upcoming year, and look back at the past year and see how far we've come.
ReplyDeleteTotally searching on Pinterest for a crockpot chicken pot pie recipe now! Love the idea! :)
ReplyDeleteVery excited to start on our nursery but we still have awhile...not too early for me to start dreaming though. ;)
