Currently - January

Happy New Year!

After two weeks of break, it has been a challenge to get back into a routine this week.
What better way to kick off the blog in the new year than an update on life lately?
I'm glad you agree.

Resolving...

to spend the next year striving towards one little word.
I have picked a word for the year the past few years and enjoyed it.
One word is easy to remember
(and plaster over the house on post-its ;)
Coming up with a few practical goals of how to live it in the beginning help
So without further ado, my word for 2016 is:

Serenity.

I'll be sharing more on why and how I practically plan to live out this virtue later on this month.

Reading...

The Genesis of Perfection

I grabbed this book off the shelf on our way out the door for Thanksgiving.
It's written by one of my favorite professors,
to whom I have to thank my love for the Old Testament, especially Genesis.
I love how reading this book transports me back to my undergraduate class.

One Pot
The title does not lie.
These recipes only need one pot!
Add in the bonus that all the recipes are drool worthy.

Organizing...

everything.

Our bedroom, the kitchen, and the baby's room are the main focus these days.

Craving...

naps and bedtime.

We entered the third trimester this week (eek)
and right on time the sleepless nights of trying to get comfy began.

Loving...

all that 2016 promises!

This is going to be a great year :)

  1. That One Pot cookbook sounds fabulous! Also, I love your word, and I can't wait to read more. That is a genius idea of putting it all over the house on post-it notes. I'm stealing that idea! -Jessica, Sweet Little Ones

  2. The third trimester, always the tricky one. One day you feel great, the next not so. It won't be long now.

  3. I love one-pot recipes! It's never fun to have a sink full of dishes. I'm going to have to check out that cookbook!
